The filming of The Counselor has moved on from London, England to Alicante, Spain! Cameron Diaz was photographed on September 24 & 25 on set with Javier Bardem and director Ridley Scott for the upcoming thriller, where Cami plays the femme-fatale Malkina. I’m so excited for this movie, especially as everyone who’s read the script raves about how fresh it is (and having Ridley Scott as the director doesn’t hurt, either) and how each character is so well written. In an interview with Collider.com, co-star Penelope Cruz said “I read the script, and after three pages I was completely blown away by how new this feels. It’s Cormac McCarthy’s first script. Not based on any book, its just a script. And it’s an incredible piece for actors, all the characters are incredible. All the scenes are very long scenes, a lot of dialogue, scenes that have a beginning and a transition. You can travel with each scene, you have the space and the time to really go through a journey with each scene; and that, for actors, it’s a big privilege to have scenes like that.”

As the theatrical release of Gambit is just a few months away (at least for the UK moviegoers), the studio is releasing more and more promo-material for the movie. We now have the official poster as well as two new stills of Cameron Diaz as PJ Puznowski. The movie looks to be an entertaining one, and I can’t wait to see it when it finally hits theaters (probably early next year). If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, watch it now!

Based on the 1966 British caper comedy which starred Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine, Gambit centers on Harry Deane (Colin Firth), a London art curator who enlists a Texas Rodeo Queen (Cameron Diaz) in a scheme to con the richest man in England. The movie was written by the Coen Brothers and directed by Michael Hoffman. According to the London Evening Standard, Cameron Diaz was among the guests at a fundraising dinner for President Obama’s re-election campaign at Mark’s Club in Mayfair yesterday. The event was hosted by US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Gwyneth Paltrow and designer Tom Ford, and other guests included Downton Abbey’s Elizabeth McGovern, American athlete Allyson Felix and Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet. About 25 guests were seen heading into the venue for the dinner party, which is believed to have cost around £9,200 a head. Members of the press were not allowed to attend. Cameron Diaz looked pretty in pink in a jumpsuit as she was photographed arriving to the event. As we don’t post paparazzi-images in our gallery, we’ve only featured a photo of a stunning Cameron Diaz to the right. What do you think of her look for the night? Cool, right?
