Great news, everyone! Cameron Diaz is gracing the cover of the December issue of British Elle magazine. She looks stunning in Chanel on the cover (seen to the left), with an interesting new article inside. Cami talks about her role opposite Colin Firth in upcoming Coen brothers movie Gambit and plenty more in the interview, made in a British pub. Get your copy when it hits newsstands this Wednesday, November 7. We will have scans from the magazine as soon as possible. Stay tuned!
Just a quick update on the status of Agent Century 21 (first reported back in May). According to USA Production News‘ Twitter account, the movie starring Cameron Diaz and Benicio Del Toro is scheduled to be shot in New Mexico and Louisiana in November. More on the movie when information is available.
After attending the Rag & Bone LA Flagship opening yesterday, Cameron Diaz showed up at the annual LACMA Art + Gala. She looked super-cool in a short yellow dress as she walked the red carpet and posed with some of her celebrity friends inside the party. 170 pictures can be seen in our photo gallery!
For the past week, Cameron’s been back in Los Angeles from filming The Counselor in Spain – and isn’t wasting any time! On Tuesday she attended a Bottega Veneta-sponsored dinner at MOCA to fete Taryn Simon alongside best friend Gwyneth Paltrow and yesterday she joined pal Reese Witherspoon at the celebration of Rag & Bone’s LA Flagship store. Pictures from both events have been added to the photo gallery.
The filming of The Counselor has moved on from London, England to Alicante, Spain! Cameron Diaz was photographed on September 24 & 25 on set with Javier Bardem and director Ridley Scott for the upcoming thriller, where Cami plays the femme-fatale Malkina. I’m so excited for this movie, especially as everyone who’s read the script raves about how fresh it is (and having Ridley Scott as the director doesn’t hurt, either) and how each character is so well written. In an interview with Collider.com, co-star Penelope Cruz said “I read the script, and after three pages I was completely blown away by how new this feels. It’s Cormac McCarthy’s first script. Not based on any book, its just a script. And it’s an incredible piece for actors, all the characters are incredible. All the scenes are very long scenes, a lot of dialogue, scenes that have a beginning and a transition. You can travel with each scene, you have the space and the time to really go through a journey with each scene; and that, for actors, it’s a big privilege to have scenes like that.”
As the theatrical release of Gambit is just a few months away (at least for the UK moviegoers), the studio is releasing more and more promo-material for the movie. We now have the official poster as well as two new stills of Cameron Diaz as PJ Puznowski. The movie looks to be an entertaining one, and I can’t wait to see it when it finally hits theaters (probably early next year). If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, watch it now!
Thanks to MSN Movies UK, we now have the full-length international trailer for Gambit! Based on the 1966 British caper comedy which starred Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine, Gambit centers on Harry Deane (Colin Firth), a London art curator who enlists a Texas Rodeo Queen (Cameron Diaz) in a scheme to con the richest man in England. The movie was written by the Coen Brothers and directed by Michael Hoffman. Check out the trailer in our video archive and the screencaptures in the photo gallery by clicking on the previews below, respectively.
