Farina & Ritter heads to “Vegas”

According to MovieWeb.com, Dennis Farina and Krysten Ritter have joined the cast of What Happens in Vegas…. The film stars Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher as newlyweds who are competeing for some jackpot winnings. Ritter will play Kutcher’s girlfriend who doesn’t know that he’s gotten married to someone else. Farina will be playing Diaz’ boss. The movie is currently filming in New York.

Yesterday, Cameron celebrated her 35th birthday on the set and recieved cards and balloons from photographers and fans. I have added the first 26 photos from the third day (today!) of filming the upcoming What Happens in Vegas…. Cameron’s looking sexy in a tight blue dress, and her & co-star Ashton Kutcher seems to enjoy eachothers’ company. The story, set in Las Vegas (though most of it will be shot in New York City), revolves around two strangers who wake up to discover they got married sometime during the previous night’s drunken festivities, with one of them winning a huge jackpot on the other’s quarter. “What Happens in Vegas…” first day on set photos!

On August 15, Cameron was seen walking around the set of the upcoming comedy What Happens in Vegas, in New York City. This was apparently the first day of shooting the movie for her! I’m really excited for this project, and Cameron looks absolutely fantastic showing of her (award-winning) legs. According to Moviefone, “Vegas” will be released June 27 next year. Co-stars announced for “Vegas”

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rob Corddry and Lake Bell are in final negotiations to star opposite Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher in the Tom Vaughn-helmed comedy What Happens in Vegas… for 20th Century Fox.

Written by Dana Fox, the story is set in motion following a night of debauchery in Vegas when two strangers (Diaz, Kutcher) discover they have gotten married and one of them wins a huge jackpot with the other’s quarter. In trying to determine the rightful beneficiary of the winnings, the duo embarks on a series of plots to undermine the other, falling in love along the way.

Corddry is set to play Hater, an attorney and the best friend of Kutcher’s character who richly deserves his nickname. In fact, he’s a world-class misanthrope with an acerbic edge. Bell will play the best friend of Diaz’s character.

‘What Happens in Vegas’ update

Tom Vaughan has replaced Julian Farino as director of 20th Century Fox romantic comedy What Happens in Vegas, starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher.
Farino dropped off the project for scheduling reasons, and is now attached to helm Paramount and Plan B’s The Year of Living Biblically.

Vaughan will direct from a script by Dana Fox. Penn Station’s Dean Georgaris and Mosaic’s Michael Aguilar are producing for Fox.
