With the release of What Happens in Vegas on DVD/Blu-Ray on August 26th, a new website was launched as well. Not only can you watch clips, trailers and photos. It also contains lots of fun stuff in the theme of the movie, such as a dart game where you can post your ex’s picture and throw darts at it, a Facebook application where you can vote who is “Most Likely To” or post pictures of your “Wildest Night”. It’s definitely worth a peek, and if you haven’t bought your copy of What Happens in Vegas yet, do it right away!

Set in Sin City, storyline revolves around two strangers who wake up to discover they got married sometime during the previous night’s drunken festivities, with one of them winning a huge jackpot on the other’s quarter. The couple set out to undermine each other and claim the coin, only to fall in love along the way.

First of all – No, I haven’t forgotten about this site. I’ve just been working out-of-town all of the summer and therefore haven’t had time to update Cameron Fan (or my other sites). However, I will soon be home again and the site will once again have regular updates.

Now, onto the update. I have added over 150 photos of Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher promoting What Happens in Vegas in Tokyo, Japan. Miss Diaz looked dazzling while attending both the photocall and the premiere. The movie, which recently won Bromantic Comedy at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards, will open on August 16th in the country.

Three weekends later and “What Happens in Vegas” is still going strong at the box office, as the surprise-hit took in another $9 million in it’s third weekend. This leaves the movie with an estimated domestic gross of $56 million (and about $117 worldwide)! It’s safe to say that the movie is a hit, since it has grossed more than three times the original budget. Romantic comedy “What Happens in Vegas” (starring Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher) continued to surprise at the box office in the second weekend, taking in an estimated $13.8 million! The movie is once again beating “Speed Racer”, this time with almost twice as many sold tickets. Below is the list of this weekend’s most succesful movies, from the always great MovieWeb.com.

1) The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian $56.5 million
2) Iron Man $31.2 million
3) What Happens in Vegas $13.8 million
4) Speed Racer $7.6 million
5) Baby Mama $4.5 million

The numbers are in! The (very) important first weekend box office results have been revealed and “What Happens in Vegas” came in at #3 with a solid $20 million, not close from the dissapointing “Speed Racer” that grossed just $20.2 million inspite of a big budget and heavy promotion from Warner Bros. “Iron Man” kept the number one spot this weekend too. EDIT: Warner Bros. was supposedly lying about the “Speed Racer” numbers, it only managed to take in $18 million in it’s opening weekend. This means that “What Happens in Vegas” came in second! Congrats! See the new, edited, list below.

Earlier today, Cameron and Ashton Kutcher appeared in an interview on CBS’s Early Show. The interview was brand new, though it was recorded during the press junket in New York, and very funny as well. I have added almost 150 screen captures as well as a video clip from the segment. Only one day left until we all get to see “What Happens in Vegas” at the cinema!

Here are a couple of nice quotes from Cameron’s “What Happens in Vegas” co-star Lake Bell. She talks about working with Diaz and meeting the movie-star for the first time. Thanks to CD Fan for the heads up!

With all the rumpus on “What Happens in Vegas”, it figures that the cast bonded with a go-kart race, a familiar battleground for Bell, whose father is a race car driver and owner of the Virginia International Raceway. At 29, she’s been training for several months with go-karts so she can race in a celebrity charity event she’s planning for next year. “It was me, Ashton, Demi [Moore], Cameron, [director] Tom Vaughan . . . I wouldn’t let Cameron pass me and then she crashed into me and we’d fall off. Corddry was waaay back there, like, ‘Isn’t this great, guys?’ ”

Bell is still a little embarrassed when she recalls meeting Diaz for the first time. “I heard these heels coming down the hallway. She was on the phone and I could hear, ‘OK, perf. Oh, my God, that is so perf. Love you!’ And then I saw her and I just said, ‘Perf! I say that too,’ and gave her this awkward, dorky hug. She was so accepting.”

The two clicked during the shoot with shopping trips in Vegas and a trip to the Hamptons.
