I have added over 1,200 HD Blu-Ray screen captures from The Box to the gallery! The movie – starring Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella – is a very interesting one. It was far better than I expected after reading the reviews it received. The Box definitely raises discussions of what you would do in a similar situtation. Cameron Diaz did a fantastic job, in my opinion, as she showed a great depth of emotions and proved that she can do drama for sure!

First of all, a belated happy new year to all of you! I haven’t been able to update due to the fact that I’ve been busy offline. But here I am, better late than never. :) In other news (or, actual news) Cameron’s movie The Box has been announced to get released in the US on February 23. The DVD’s only special feature is the Richard Matheson: In His Own Words – An Intimate Interview with a Sci-Fi Legend interview.

The Blu-Ray will contain that featurette including an audio comentary by Richard Kelly, two making-of featurettes, a Music Video Prequels feature, a digital copy, and a copy of the standard DVD.

I have – insert finally – added the pictures from the New York premiere of The Box! It was held on November 4 at the AMC Lincoln Square in NYC. Cami looked gorgeous as she posed for photos next to James Marsden and Richard Kelly. Check out lots of pictures by clicking on the preview below, as per usual.

As most of you know, The Box opened across the US on Friday. It was met by mixed reviews – some loved it, some hated it – and delivered $7.9 million at The Box office (see what I just did there?). I, myself, haven’t seen it yet (it isn’t released where I live quite yet) but I’m really excited to do so. To those of you who have seen it – Was it good? Was it bad? Cameron is very observant and thoughtful – she thinks long and hard before she makes any important decisions. It was clear that she knew exactly what she was doing every step of the way. She never once complained about a single thing during a long, emotional shoot in sub-arctic blizzard conditions.

I feel fortunate to have worked with both Cameron and Drew, who are consummate professionals — these are two of the most successful and well-adjusted women I know . . . incredibly supportive, kind and appreciative of everyone on the set and around them.

I know I’m biased as the filmmaker behind the movie, but Cameron’s performance in “The Box” is extraordinary. I can’t wait for people to witness her transformation into Norma Lewis.

The promotion for the thriller/sci fi The Box is starting to gear up, and three brand new TV spots have been released, thanks to TheMovieBox.net (via TrailerAddict). They’re each very good and interesting, and the movie really looks great! I’m so excited to see it, are you? For now, check out the TV spots below.

The official website of The Box – in US theaters November 6! – has been updated with lots and lots of interesting things. I can’t quite figure what it says, but head on over and give it a try!

UK movie-website Empire has released a new teaser poster for the movie. Check it out below. The Box will open (get it?) on December 4 in the UK. So excited for this movie! Are you?

“It’s a very, very intense, emotional roller-coaster ride,” Kelly explained, claiming that Diaz’s performance is a particular strength of the film. “Cameron worked harder in this role than anyone; I’ve never seen an actor work harder than she did. In this role, she has a very specific Texas accent, and she has some physical disability issues with her character that she did very elegantly. Her character goes through a lot in this film, and I couldn’t be more proud of her.”

It’s happened yet another time. The Box has been pushed back. The sci-fi/thriller will now open in cinemas on November 6th, so only a week later than earlier announced. It will now face off against Disney’s A Christmas Carol.
