According to the always reliable Variety.com, Twentieth Century Fox is moving up the release of Tom Cruise-Cameron Diaz starrer Knight & Day by one week, from July 2 to June 25, this in order to get a jump on possible competition.

Chiefly, Knight & Day has more time in theaters before Christopher Nolan’s Leonardo DiCaprio topliner Inception bows on July 16, followed by Angelina Jolie starrer Salt, directed by Phillip Noyce, on July 23. Also, Knight & Day gets five days before Summit releases Twilight: The Eclipse. While not direct competition, Eclipse will take up plenty of oxygen.

Directed by James Mangold, Knight & Day tells the story of a small-town woman who thinks she’s met the man of her dreams. But as time goes by, she comes to suspect he’s a rogue spy.

On February 12 Cameron Diaz continued filming Knight and Day in Malibu, California. She looked gorgeous, relaxed and seemed to have a very good time. Check out pictures from the filming by clicking on the preview above. Enjoy!

Yesterday Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise was photographed filming additional scenes for Knight and Day in Los Angeles, CA. They were wearing the same outfits as they’ve been pictured in several times before, so one can assume this situation (is this the main chase in the movie?) spans over several scenes. According to MovieScore Magazine, Knight and Day, the upcoming action comedy starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, will be scored by John Powell (best known for other action films such as the Bourne trilogy, X-Men: The Last Stand and Hancock). The movie tells the story about a fugitive couple who race across the world in an adventure filled with unexpected turns and twists. Additional stars in the film are Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Grace and Paul Dano. The film, directed by James Mangold, is scheduled for release via 20th Century Fox on July 2.

It’s here! After playing in theaters over the weekend, the first trailer from the recently wrapped Knight & Day has finally hit the web! The movie, starring Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise, centers around a fugitive couple (Cruise and Diaz) on a glamorous and sometimes deadly adventure where nothing and no one – even themselves – are what they seem. Amid shifting alliances and unexpected betrayals, they race across the globe, with their survival ultimately hinging on the battle of truth vs. trust.
