Clip from ‘America: A Tribute to Heroes’ from 2001
As a way to remember 9/11 and how we all were affected by what happened that day, I’ve posted a clip of Cameron Diaz’s appearance in America: A Tribute to Heroes.
It was a benefit concert organized by producer Joel Gallen and actor George Clooney and broadcast by the four major United States television networks in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and The Pentagon. Done in the style of a telethon, it featured a number of national and international entertainers performing to raise money for the victims and their families, particularly but not limited to the New York City firefighters and New York City police officers. It aired September 21, 2001.

‘Bad Teacher’ Crosses $200 Million Worldwide!
Awesome news! According to the Hollywood Reporter, Bad Teacher earned an additional $2.2M at international box offices this weekend, bringing its total gross to $201.1 million worldwide. The Cameron Diaz comedy now joins The Hangover Part II and Kristen Wiig’s vehicle Bridesmaids as the latest R-rated comedy to hit the $200 million-spot.
The movie’s better-than-expected performance means strong profit margins for Sony, which made the Jake Kasden-directed pic for under $20 million.
Congrats to Cameron and everyone else involved in this successful project!

I just wanted to let everyone know that this site isn’t dead or abandoned! I simply have not had the time to update it. And the Cami-related news (not counting all the paparazzi-photos and stories about her and “A-Rod”) have been next to none as of late. New Cast Members for ‘What to Expect…’
Quick update on an upcoming project for Cameron: In the past week several new cast members for the upcoming romantic comedy What to Expect When You’re Expecting were announced. Joining Cameron Diaz in the ensemble are Jennifer Lopez, Brooklyn Decker, Isla Fisher, Anna Kendrick and Chris Rock so far!
What to Expect When You’re Expecting is set to hit cinemas on Mothers Day next year.
“Bad Teacher” Debuts to $31 Million!
Even more awesome news! Box Office Mojo reports that Cameron Diaz’s Bad Teacher made $31 million in its’ opening weekend! This makes it the second best opening for a comedy film so far this year! It was only beat by Pixar’s Cars 2, which made $68 million during it’s debut weekend. I’m thrilled for Cami and the rest of the cast & crew for receiving these numbers.
Hopefully positive word-of-mouth will spread (it’s gotten great audience response) and Bad Teacher will continue bringing in the fine results. Below are the top five movies this weekend:
- Cars 2, $68 million
- Bad Teacher, $31 million
- Green Lantern, $18.4 million
- Super 8, $12.1 million
- Mr. Popper’s Penguins, $10.3 million
“Bad Teacher” Earns $12 Million on Friday!
Awesome news, everybody! The box office numbers for yesterday are in – and things are looking great for Bad Teacher! The movie exceeded expectations with a $12.1 million Friday night. The Cameron Diaz-led comedy could beat the opening weekend of fellow R-rated girl comedy Bridesmaids by opening to about $30 million! This is awesome not only for the movie (which looks superfunny), but for Cami as well! If you haven’t seen the movie yet, be sure to do so this weekend! I know I will.
