‘Gambit’ Gets New Release Date

This seems to be a good sign for Gambit: CBS Films has decided to move up the release date to October 12 instead of the previously announced January 2013 date. Here’s what the reliable The Playlist had to say about the move: It looks like CBS Films is smelling Oscar or awards season play as they’ve moved up the Coen-penned Gambit starring Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz from a dreaded early January date to October 12th. The movie opens on a busy weekend with Ben Affleck’s Argo and Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master also dropping. But it seems the studio is feeling pretty confident. Great news, right?
